Relying on the Internet for Information

The Internet of today has crept into our lives that we cannot seem to survive without it. It has gone from being a purely military tool to maintain communications during a nuclear attack to so many civilian applications that our modern world is now overly dependent on it. Banking transactions, shopping, social networking, doing research work and even dating are some of the common things we do on the Internet. It has evolved into so many civilian uses that many people do not know it was born in a military research lab.

But the Internet is under some serious threat lately and this is over-capacity. It is very near to capacity that new investments are needed to keep networks able to function properly. The Internet could crash anytime and produce serious consequences for people around the world who depend on it immensely. This is because Web 2.0 has eaten too much bandwidth from all those video (photos and films included) uploads and downloads.
